This morning I had a, somewhat unexpected, keynote about a website we’ve been developing. Everything was working fine, I got the attention of most of the people and started talking (not having prepared anything by the way).
And then, after just a few moments, the screen went black.
Just, totally blank. The laptop was still showing us something, so we knew it had to be something with the beamer. I knew I had to do *something* to keep their attention so I just started talking about that screen.
It went something like “Well, at first there was nothing. Just black. An idea.” etc.
Than there was a blue screen (we found the problem, but it takes a while for the beamer to “start up” and stuff) so I started talking about that. It was really an interesting experience to improvise like this again. It’s been a while.
When everything was working OK again I think we did it pretty fine.
